Science from the age of Rona
2020 has been a rough year. I'm not sure how long this chapter of history will be, but my grandkids are going to complain about it. Any sane person would back up, head to the bunker, and wait till new years; unfortunately, Americans are stubborn. A little plague can't stand in the way of progress! The study of energy and how it flows around the universe like butter is always a good topic no? I was also rather hungry, so I mostly did chemistry on food.
The failure of the lemons
The assigned fruit to test was lemons to see if they can create an electrical current. I'm rather tired though, so I won't dance around it. They don't. All of our notes and data predicted they would, but mine failed to generate any detectable flow.
The success of sucrose
Lemons don't make power, but it doesn't take a fool to turn food into energy! Anyway I made some glazed peaches. They were very good.
Reflection
Quarantine was hard on me. There's no way to avoid that fact. After hearing that our work didn't actually matter, my motivation and work ethic dropped off the scale. I found out I was taking classes I had no actual passion for. This whole lockdown I've been both bored and lazy. There's no excuse for that, but it bears worth to note. I'm prized for steadfast work, but when tested, I broke.
